I have a big announcement!

I am very proud to introduce my baby brother, Brennan.  He came on April 17th and has kept us very busy.  Mom and Dad couldn't take him home right away though.  He had to stay in the hospital for a week because the doctors wanted to spend some extra time making sure that he was healthy.  He's doing very well now, but he's still sporting two black eyes and has lots of follow-up appointments with the doctors.  We're not worried.  We know that he's going to be just fine.
Stuff sure has changed at home.  I have to be even more patient than before.  I can't be held whenever I want, but I get to hold Brennan sometimes and I like that.  In the midst of all the craziness, I went pee pee on the potty for the first time!  Grandma and Mommy made a big fuss about it.  I'm thinking about trying it some more so that I will get to wear undies.  My teachers say that I never stop talking, and I use lots of full sentences when I do.  I also like to use those full sentences to tell everyone what to do.  What would they do without me?
I want to apologize to my fans who think that I am just the best thing in the world.  That is because I'm going to shift the focus of this blog and it won't be all about me anymore.  I am very much involved in everything Brennan is up to, so I'm going to help you keep tabs on him too.  I know he will probably not be nearly as awesome as me, but I'm his big sister so I've got to give the kid a chance.  You know?

Brennan Drew Fetters - just a few hours old.

I was allowed to go to the NICU and visit Brennan.  He's so small!

Our first family photo with Brennan.

I am working on being very gentle.

I made this chick for Brennan so that he would know how much I already love him.

This is Brennan praying to be discharged from the hospital.  It worked!

When I woke up in the morning Brennan was home!  He brought me some presents - sidewalk chalk and my very favorite, chapstick!  I let him use my favorite pink blanket.

Holding Brennan for the first time.

I'm off to school!  Lots of kisses for Brennan before I go.

I told Brennan all about my day at school.  I also showed him that this is how you hold your snuggly.  I hold my duckie tight, but he isn't really snuggling with his doggie yet.

Grandma stayed for a while to help Mommy with trips to the hospital and welcoming Brennan home.  Since she is so nice to take care of us I thought it would be a good idea to take care of her too.  Grandma likes it when I brush her hair.

Sleepyhead.

Mommy feeds Brennan and I feed my babies.  This shirt is the best because it has two pockets and I can stash my babies' bottles in there.

Family photo.  I got to hold Brennan.

This is supposed to be exercise time, but sleepyhead didn't even try.

Brennan's first bath.  He doesn't like bath time as much as I do.

He likes to be wrapped up, and then either eating or sleeping.

Look at how good I am getting at this big sister stuff.

I think Bubby is happy that Brennan is home too.  He tries to sit on Brennan's lap, just like everyone else's.

I'm 25 months, Bubby turned 6 today, and baby brother should be here soon!

This is me waiting to go into my very first swim class!

Daddy got to come swimming with me.  I helped him to not be afraid.

I was the only kid in my first lesson.  That meant that I had all the toys to myself.

We did a lot of fun things.  I have videos too, but I'm going to wait until I get a little better to share them with all my fans.

This is Daddy and me making snakes.

My swim classes have started to get busier, but that's good because now I can watch and learn from the other kids too.

Here I am with my class from school.

It was a nice day, so we got ready to have our Easter egg hunt outside.

As soon as I heard "go" I was on a mission.  Mom and Dad didn't even have to help me.

I totally dominated this corner of the playground and packed my bag full of eggs.  Then Mom and Dad found out that I know how to open the eggs all by myself and stuff my mouth full of jellybeans.  Yum!  My eggs mysteriously became empty soon after we got home.

We took a family trip to the zoo.  Not all the animals wanted to come out and play this early in the year, but we spent some time watching the gorillas and here you can see a super tall giraffe in the background.

This giraffe was even closer, see?

I've only been two for a few days, but I'm already a very busy two-year-old.

Aunt Kate, Uncle Paul, and Grandma and Grandpa Mac came to visit for a weekend.  Grandma and Grandpa thought it'd be fun to play at a hotel with a pool.  Aunt Kate helped me get used to the water.

Grandpa is good at making splashes.

I had the most fun swimming in the hot tub.

My birthday was just a couple days away, so I got to open some presents.

We made a special alligator cake and I like testing the frosting.

 Happy birthday to me!

 Pretty cool cake, huh?  Chomp!

It tasted good, too.

I'm two!

My teachers gave me a special birthday crown to wear at school.  I brought in treats for all my friends.

 Birthday girls have to accessorize.

Learning all about my shapes and telling time.

This past weekend I was invited to Olivia's birthday party at the farm.  As usual, Lexi made sure to check up on me.

The horse was my favorite.  Scout was very friendly, but he liked to nibble on clothing - especially hats.

We went into a special room and had a chance to hold and touch many cool animals.  This is a python.  I made sure to hold the animals tight - maybe a little too tight.

This is a bearded dragon.  I think I would like to take her home.

Mommy held the alligator while I touched him.  He had to be held a special way.

I was not allowed to hold the tarantula, just in case I decided to try and squeeze her, but some of the other kids did.

It was so much fun outside.  We got to run around with deer, chickens, ducks, and rabbits, and I helped to feed them.
 Come with me, little goat.

Daddy's favorite is the llama, but the llama was a spitter.  This alpaca was much more friendly.

I got a bit muddy and cold, but I would definitely come back here again.  I bet Bubby would like it here.
