Thanksgiving weekend and a really big Monday afternoon

Fine. I'll feed myself one more time just to prove to you what a big girl I am. That's it. That's all I got. Phew! Bedtime.

My first time standing without someone's help! Now are you impressed?

Peek-a-boo!

Even further...

How about this? I can roll all the way under the bed.

Alright, well if feeding myself is not impressive enough for you, then I'll figure something else out...

Aren't you proud of me?

Ok, so first, when Mom picked me up this afternoon I decided I was starving. I was already in my car seat and ready to go home, so I decided to hold my bottle all by myself . That way, Mom was still able to get us on the road. I drank the whole thing with no help! This is me telling my glow worm all about it.

Now this is the best position for putting up ornaments.

Edible?

Hooray for Christmas!

Yeah! Decorating is fun!

Ahh, so this is why Mom and Dad moved a giant tree into the house.

Brody found a good napping buddy in Uncle Paul.

I was sitting on Grandma's lap, but Brody decided he was not getting enough attention so I shifted over to Grandpa. It's ok, Buddy. I'm flexible.

Grandpa and I had such a nice nap together this summer, we thought we'd try it again. Yup, still fabulous.

I've decided that I like to eat puffs... and Brody has, too. He tries and tries, but Momma makes sure they reach my mouth first (although sometimes I spit them out for Brody just like he's a baby bird).

I was sitting here, minding my own business, playing with my toys. Then all of a sudden, Brody comes out of nowhere and knocks me over. He likes to try to claim my things now, but watch out, Buddy! My grip is getting stronger, and your tail is almost within reach.

I am very good at multi-tasking.

Loving my new bath location.

"Trust me, Dad, Tom Brady will carve up the Pittsburg defense."

I like to drink water best out of Mom's and Dad's glasses, but sometimes I settle for this thing. It has nice handles, but I can't always get it tipped the right way.

I'm starting my first draft: "Dear Santa, Please bring me dozens and dozens of super awesome books to keep on my super awesome bookshelf..."

This is the fabulous bookshelf that Grandpa C built for me. Thank you, Grandpa!!!

This is what my head looks like, minus an inch and a half of fuzzy hair.

Big girl in a big girl tub!

Saturday, November 6, 2010

I'm 8-months-old today! So here are some updates: I don't fit in my baby tub anymore. I'm not crawling yet, but I can roll all the way across a room if I'm in the mood. I'm still a very cheerful girl, even though I don't like to take long naps for Mommy (I do it for Christie though). I love to sing and shout and do raspberries. I am an excellent eater as long as it comes in a bottle, but I make sure to close up shop if a spoon gets near my mouth. That glop just doesn't go down as smoothly! Mom and Dad aren't letting me lie on my back with my head to the right, because I have a funny flat spot back there. Hopefully it will get better before I go to see the special doctor next month. I'm getting very excited for the holidays. I heard Christmas music for the first time in a store today, and let me tell you, I'm super excited about this Santa Claus character. I will be writing my Christmas list very soon.
It's starting to get awfully cold here in Chicago, but I'm totally prepared.

Visiting with my family over Halloween weekend

Happy Halloween!!!

I can smile big, too.

EEEEWWWWW!!!

Punkin' time!

I like this view.

We had a lot of fun at the childrens' Halloween fair.

Miller, you are a very handsome lion.

Trying to eat hay.

We made good use of my activity center.

Miller and I are very good at sharing, which is nice since we both like the same toys.
